I grew up in the heart of Tanzania, my name is Dominic Michael, raised in a modest, middle-class household by a single mother whose strength knew no bounds and a step-father who gave me a firm foundation of care and guidance. We did not have vast riches, but our home was rich in character. Watching my mother work tirelessly taught me perseverance, while my step-father showed me that family is defined by loyalty and commitment. They showed me that when people hold together, any hardship can be overcome.

As I grew into young adulthood, I fell deeply in love with the breathtaking beauty of my homeland—the endless golden horizons of the Serengeti, the majestic silhouette of Mount Kilimanjaro, and the vibrant warmth of our villages. Yet, as I looked at the thriving travel industry around me, I noticed a gap that touched my heart. Millions of travelers came to see our wildlife, yet so few truly experienced the authentic soul of our people or left a meaningful impact on the local communities who safeguard these lands. Driven by this calling, I became a tour operator and founded Shikamana Tours & Safari. In Swahili, Shikamana means to hold together, to unite, and to stand as one. Our core mission is to deliver deeply human, authentic, and eco-conscious travel experiences that share the true magic of Tanzania while creating sustainable jobs and supporting local guides. Our core vision is to redefine East African tourism by proving that a homegrown enterprise built on integrity can uplift local lives while offering visitors a life-changing connection to nature and culture.

I'm Not Asking for Stuff. I'm Asking for Time.

I know this is an unusual fundraiser.

This is not an emergency, and I don't want to pretend that it is.

For a long time, I have had one big dream: to travel through the world, especially through poorer and lower-cost countries, and use that freedom to help people along the way.

I don't dream about luxury cars, expensive watches, or a huge house.

I dream about having enough freedom to wake up somewhere far from home, meet people whose lives are completely different from mine, and have the time and resources to stop when I see someone who genuinely needs help.

My starting goal is $240,000 — roughly 5 million Czech crowns. I see this as approximately the minimum amount from which I could realistically build a simple, low-cost and sustainable version of this life.

The money would not simply disappear on travel. My plan is to invest it for the long term — instead of spending the original amount, I would aim to live mainly from the income and investment returns it generates. If this works as planned, it could give me the ability to continue doing this for decades.

Travelling simply. Living in affordable places. Helping people along the way. Volunteering when possible. And using part of what the investments generate to help others.

One area especially close to my heart is children affected by human trafficking, sexual exploitation, forced labour and modern slavery. My biggest dream is to eventually use my freedom, time and resources to support verified organisations protecting vulnerable children.

Every amount matters. I know that $240,000 sounds almost impossible. I don't expect one person to give me everything. Maybe someone gives $1. Maybe someone gives $5. Every contribution counts.

I am not asking you to buy me a thing that will eventually break or become worthless. I am asking for a piece of time — time to see the world, time to serve, time to help.

I'm at the end of my rope, please HELP

I have been trying but failing. I have considered giving up a few times; I simply need help to keep going. I am living in a foreign country and for now I need help with putting a roof over my head and enough money to put food on my table for at least 3 more months. I am expecting something positive by then — in the meantime I need a bit of help. PLEASE!

Urgent Vacation Notice

I am a Nigerian student of Rev. Fr. Moses Oshio Adasu University. I reside in Gyado Villa in a self-contained apartment for which I paid ₦200,000 for one year. Unfortunately, whenever it rains, my room gets heavily flooded and my properties are damaged. Because of this, I am unable to sleep and I am seeking financial assistance to enable me to move out of this situation.

Need a small help

I am trying to collect $40 to buy four hours of gaming services on Fiverr. This is not an emergency, and I do not want to ask for help with bills, rent, food or anything of that sort. It is only a personal goal which I would like to achieve. I found the person on Fiverr who offers the kind of gaming services I want to buy. I would like to pay for four hours of this service, so that I can receive some help with the game I am now playing. Four hours will give me enough time to learn something rather than receive some quick answers and remain on my own. The reason for my asking for donations instead of buying this service myself is that I do not have an international payment card at the moment, such as a Visa or a Mastercard, which I can use to make a purchase on Fiverr. PayPal is the method of payment which I can use to buy this service on Fiverr, but at the moment there is not enough money in my PayPal balance to make this $40 purchase. It is clear that asking for help with gaming is certainly not an emergency, and this is why I post it as a personal wish rather than an emergency. I simply wanted to see whether anybody could help me to achieve this small goal. Any amount of donation will help me to move closer to the $40 goal. Of course, I realize that everyone has his or her own needs and priorities, and therefore I do not ask you to feel obliged to make a donation. It is perfectly okay if you decide not to make it. The goal is $40 in total. If I manage to reach it, then I will use the collected money to buy the service on Fiverr. Thank you for reading my request. A little gift for my birthday

Hello everyone. I’ve been job hunting for a month now after moving out due to family conflicts. It’s been tough finding a job since most require a college degree, and I was only able to finish Senior High School before having to stop my studies. I’m currently staying at my mom’s employer’s house temporarily, but I can’t stay here for long. I’m really struggling financially to cover basic needs and food while waiting for a job offer. Single women need a help

Well I'm single, been single on streets for about eight years now. I need a car, a house I can call my own — with that, it gives me stability in my life, and then I can get a job. Get my life back on track, and then I'll have some place my kids can come see me. Please, I can't live like this no more.

Disabled Senior

Almost 4 years ago I fell off my truck and hurt my back, and I cannot do a lot of things I used to do. I can’t stand for long periods of time, I use a walker to walk, and I can’t do repetitive lifting or climbing. I don’t have an income and I am staying with a friend. I eat at a church who makes meals for the community. I need a vehicle so I can go to doctor’s appointments and physical therapy, because the bus stop is too far for me to walk. A vehicle would help me greatly to go to places and keep my appointments. I already have a couple of cars on my radar.

Facing eviction

About a year ago I lost my second job that was keeping me afloat since. I had a little saved away and was ok for at least a year. Unfortunately I lost my main job three months ago, I haven't found any since then, and I'm hoping sharing my story can help maybe just a little. This was my last resort — I'm not the type of person to beg online, but at this point I don't have a choice. I don't expect any donations, but I thought maybe I'd just try.

Our landlord passed a notice to quit our apartment, and we have 2 months to go. My dad has been sick, and there’s no fund to rent another apartment. The money would help us rent another apartment, and take care of my sick father.

Struggle, but will always make a way
